Abstract

The article reports on the action of New York City-based media company News Corp. to buy local publications to address its advertising problem at the "New York Post." According to newspaper analyst John Morton, the acquisition is the initiative taken by the company to expand its advertising business. Meanwhile, the acquisition allows News to won an advertising account for Post, while long-term result of the acquisition remains to be seen.
