Abstract
- The article discusses a research whose objective is to fabricate a novel nanocomposite material having higher efficiency in detoxifying chemical warfare agents, organophosphorous compounds and other toxic substances. One of the well established experimental methods to produce fibers at the nano-scale range is the electrospinning process. Researchers have been using nanocrystalline metal oxides to achieve the desired properties of nanocomposite materials. Several other functional nanoparticles have been also used to fabricate nanofibers that serve as fire retardant materials.
