Abstract
- The article discusses the results of a cost analysis of schizophrenia treatment with second-generation antipsychotic medications in the Medicaid program of North Carolina. It showed that olanzapine costs more than risperidone in terms of drug expenditures but is associated with lower use of nondrug medical services.
