Abstract
- Chapter 1 of the book "Greek Art Among the Romans" is presented. It explores Greek art under the Roman Cæsars. Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius has built statues to deserving men such as Gaius Iulius Vindex, who fell in the war with Marcomanni, as well as those who had fallen in the German war. There was period when artists began to pay more attention to portraits, and to make heads instead of figures.
