Abstract
- The article focuses on the return of sacred scrolls to the Bois Forte Chippewa Tribe in Minnesota. Dr. Raymond Cloutier had owned 42 birch bark scrolls since they had been passed down to him by his grandfather Dr. Herbert Burns. Cloutier concluded that the scrolls belonged to the Chippewa tribe based on records.
