The Socialization of Social Work: A Developmental Perspective.

The article presents a study examining the process of social work socialization based on the responses from faculty members in the social work department at a college in northern Israel. The article discusses the mission of the school of social work, the integration of personal and professional identity education, the role of the community in social work education, the school's preference for applicants who embody certain personality traits such as empathy and personableness, and the school's teaching model that focuses interactive learning.
