Abstract
- The paper presents investigation of temperature and hydrogen concentration influence on mechanical and fracture toughness characteristics of Ignalina NPP second unit RBMK-1500 reactor fuel channel tube zirconium alloy Zr-2,5 Nb (TMO-2). Two type of specimens were used in the study: the first type contained no hydrogen and the second type specimens were saturated with hydrogen at concentration level of 45 ppm. The study of mechanical characteristics was performed at temperatures 20, 150 and 300°C on hydrogen free specimens, while specimens saturated with hydrogen were tested at 20 and 200°C. Fracture toughness characteristics were investigated at 20 and 200°C temperatures for both types of specimens. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
