Abstract
- The article features Southwest Creations Collaborative, a not-for-profit enterprise based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The women who work for the organization produce many types of soft goods for a variety of commercial clients. The model for Southwest Creations came from work done by Muhammed Yunus and the Grameen Bank, the 2006 winners of the Nobel Peace Prize. One key issue that drives the organization is finding more industrial customers such as Sud-Chemie, a multi-national organization with a plant in Belen.
