Abstract

The article describes a situation where an individual got addicted to chemicals produced by his or her own body. One of these chemicals is epinephrine or adrenaline. Epinephrine makes the body on alert and the heart beats more rapidly, the eyes dilate and the breathing quickens. The author hypothesizes the pleasure an individual can gain from the fight or flight response mechanism.
