Abstract
- The article discusses a case concerning the right to a fair trial in Great Britain. The court dismissed the appeal of the defendant, who was charged with robbery, stating that he should not have been tried in his absence. The court held that the proceedings had been entirely fair and in compliance with defendant's right to a fair trial pursuant to article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights. The judge rightly concluded that the defendant voluntarily absented himself.
