Abstract: The article reports on the challenges posed by the recession in the housing market to condominium tower developers in Irvine, California. The recession has confused developers on whether to continue or stop their construction or planned projects. Some of them decided to stop and focused on low-rise home projects. Real estate economist Walter Hahn suggested that smart developers should stop and wait the recovery of the market.
