Abstract
- Chapter XVIII-10 of the book "Biological Psychiatry," Volume II is presented. It explores the methodologies and study tools used to search for molecular genetic factors in mood disorders and the chromosomal regions of interest investigated for bipolar and unipolar mood disorders. It highlights the physical mapping of the human genome which provides a huge factory that supplies thousands of genes which accelerate the identification of genes responsible for mood disorders.
