Abstract
- The article focuses on the livelihood project called Tsunamika formed by fashion designers who are members of the organization Upasna in Auroville, India following the tsunami at the coast of Tamil Nadu in 2004. The Upasna taught the residents how to make dolls using residual material from their design studio. The organization paid the women for each doll that they made with the funding from Concern India. A workshop was conducted among women in order to explore further opportunities with the dolls.
