Abstract

The article offers an overview of Supreme Court interpretations of the First Amendment rights. The First Amendment consists of 45 words that refer to religious liberty, free speech, free press and the right to hold protests and complain to the government. Several issues like burning of the U.S. flag, prohibition of religious bias and press censorship are discussed.
