Abstract

The article presents information about the planet Jupiter. It is named after Jove, the chief god of the Romans. Its diameter is 11 times larger than Earth and is made up of a ball of hydrogen and helium wrapped under layers of clouds. The cloud layers resemble an Easter egg with colorful patterns caused by swirling storms. The center of Jupiter may be a rocky core that captured hydrogen gas which helped build up the planet.
