Metadata Tools for Digital Resource Repositories: JCDL 2006 Workshop Report.

The article presents information about the workshop of Joint Conference on Digital Libraries titled "Metadata Tools for Digital Resource Repositories," held in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2006. The goal of the workshop was to explore how communication in the digital library/metadata tool community can be advanced. Emphasis was given on descriptive metadata, rather than on knowledge organization systems or semantic metadata independently.
