The article discusses the yields of various crops in the U.S. as of August 2006. Corn yields increased while carryover surged. August soybean yield dropped to 39.6 bushels per acre. The hog market has a bearish structure with contracts still selling at a significant premium compared with the deferred. The wheat market saw little reduction in stocks in August. Feed and fuel prices in the cattle market are increasing at a faster rate than cattle prices.
