Abstract
- The study characterizes Chinese immigrants in the U.S. with hypertension and examines what cultural factors are associated with medication adherence. A cross-sectional design was used and data were gathered from 200 subjects recruited in an Asian outpatient clinic. The study has identified that cultural factors are significant predictors of medication nonadherence. Findings can help guide nursing interventions for hypertension management in Chinese immigrants.
