Abstract

The article explains the causes of the terrorist attacks launched by the al Qaeda group at the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Virginia on September 11, 2001. Explanations are categorized into plausible but flawed theories and more credible theories. The flawed theories include poverty, the Madrasas issue on creating terrorist and the hate of the freedom-loving people. While the most credible reason is the flawed strategic reasoning of Osama Bin Laden.
