RELATION OF NATURE-STUDIES TO CLAY-MODELING.

The article presents a discussion of the relation of the study of nature to clay-modeling. It states that no other basis could be discovered for the study of composition than that offered in the work now being made in history, dramatic art, and literature, and no better opportunity for the close study of natural forms than in the field of natural science. It emphasizes that children need constantly to be brought into a closer and more sympathetic relation with nature, and it is to the educators of the study of nature that people must focus on.
