Abstract
- The article looks at how western education officials and industrialists are teaming up to increase the appeal of the engineering field about students. The author reviews how enrollment is soaring at engineering and technical schools in India and Asia. Statistics related the issue are reviewed. The reaction of educators in the wealthiest countries to the lack of interest in engineering education among their populations is discussed.
