Abstract

Presents six poems by Nicholas Harp. 1) "Overture," First Line: A scream, aimed straight to God, Last Line: for anything, just howl because they know it's high. 2) "The Davidov Stradivarius," First Line: When Yo-Yo Ma first leaned over it, Last Line: the Davidov recalling suites it had sung for centuries. 3) "Fear of Flying," First Line: Nothing's low to begin with. Last Line: but for breathing in. 4) "Personal Ad," First Line: Nature geek/twice-shy capsule of days; Last Line: just waiting to burn. 5) "Psalm," First Line: Praise to the matrix of dew; Last Line: ambling through the neighborhood. 6) "Restoration Hardware," First Line: Outside: the earth's grown cool; Last Line: EVERYTHING.
