Abstract
- The article presents an interview with Jim Riley, guitarist of U.S. country music group Rascal Flatts, about his career. Riley started taking drum lessons at 12 years old and got involved with the Youth Symphony in Boston, Massachusetts during his sophomore year in high school. After resigning from a teaching job, he joined a Christian band out of Orlando, Florida. Riley describes bandleader Mark Chestnutt's music as a mix of country, Western swing and Cajun music.
