Abstract
- The article presents an analysis of political candidates vying for various positions in the June 2006 primaries in California. For the author, candidates Phil Angelides and Steve Westly are the two viable opponents of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Democratic Party is deliberating among three candidates for lieutenant governor. Candidates Deborah Ortiz and Debra Bowen are competing to challenge Secretary of State Bruce McPherson.
