Abstract
- This article discusses that historic personal papers, manuscripts, and books belonging to Martin Luther King Jr., which were to be included in a Sotheby's auction in New York City, are being returned to his alma mater of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. The papers were purchased by a private group of business leaders after efforts by Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and Atlanta's former mayor ambassador Andrew Young. Dexter King, King's son and chief executive officer of King's estate, believes that his parents would be honored to have the papers housed in the city of Atlanta.
