Abstract
- The article focuses on the need for mastering the spoken British English in the international business. It reflects that speaking and understanding one variety of English will not help the business persons to acquire all of the English-language accents, which is essential when they interact with global business partners. The article provides a non-technical introduction to spoken British English. It reflects that an introduction to British English accent is important because it is used by many international businesspersons. The national languages such as Canadian English and Australian English are influenced significantly by British English accents. Due to such diversity among the users of English language there is a need for related instructional guidance for business educators. More over, the entire global business community depends overwhelmingly on the English language, which demands to pay attention to the topic of English-language variation in the international business, management and the promotion of the books on marketing and cross-cultural and international business communication.
