Acoustic Analysis of Vocalizations Produced by Individuals with Severe Dysarthria.

The article presents the series of investigations aimed to analyze the vocalizations produced by individuals with severe dysarthria along the parameters of pitch, loudness and duration. Understanding the degree of control within each parameter is the first step toward planning a vocalization recognition system that is sensitive to logical acoustic parameters of severely dysarthric speech. Significant information relative to the matter are presented.
