Abstract: The article examines the prosodic parameters that convey information about the speaker's communicative intentions to their listeners despite severe dysarthria. A concrete step towards understanding how to incorporate automatic speech recognition (ASR) into communication technologies is provided. The researchers plan to investigate the acoustic and physiological correlates of prosodic features in dysarthric speech.
