Abstract: The article discusses the cases of patients with hereditary mental defects. The two main characteristics of apparently sex-linked idiocy are mental deficiency and muscular weakness with moderate atrophy. In the study, all patients with sex-linked idiocy were males. In patients with microcephaly, the condition appeared in different lines in three successive generations.
