More schools purchase VDT editing equipment.

The article presents information regarding the move of schools and departments of journalism to make use of video display terminals (VDTs) as electronic newsroom equipment in the United States. The authors say that according to a survey report more than one fourth of the departments are currently training the students at video display terminals (VDTs). Almost half of those schools who are not having equipments expect to obtain it in the forth coming two years. The findings of 1976 survey show that among the 131 journalism departments, schools and programs 28 per cent either have electronic equipment owned by the department or using equipment owned by others.
