Abstract
- This chapter of the book Contextualizing Transition: Interviews with Contemporary Russian Writers & Critics presents an interview with Russian author Egor Radov about his works. His novel, Snake Sucker, strikes the reader with its luminosity. He applies the ideology that art is creation out of practically nothing in writing the novel. As an author, Radov separates religion and morality. He shares the ideas about inseparability of aesthetics, ethics, and a religion that is somehow above morality. He also emphasizes his closeness Christianity that negates corporeality and sexuality.
