Abstract
- Researchers at Gold Coast University Hospital in Australia published a study on hypercalcemia in a 72-year-old male following immunotherapy for metastatic melanoma. The patient developed severe hypercalcemia and hilar lymphadenopathy, leading to a diagnosis of drug-induced sarcoid-like reactions. Treatment included intravenous fluids, calcitonin, denosumab, and prednisolone. The study highlights the importance of monitoring calcium levels in patients undergoing immunotherapy.
