Researchers at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering in Tamil Nadu, India, have grown a single crystal of Triethylenediaminium Hydronium Trinitrate (TEDHT) using the slow evaporation solution technique. The crystal was found to have a trigonal crystal system and space group P 3 1 c, with a sharp cutoff wavelength around 320 nm and transparency in the UV region. The study also investigated the thermal stability, photoconductivity, dielectric properties, mechanical stability, and nonlinear optical susceptibility of the TEDHT crystal.
