Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Tabuk in Saudi Arabia focused on the effects of dates fruit on dyslipidemia among patients with Type-2 diabetes. The meta-analysis of randomized trials found that dates fruit consumption led to a reduction in total cholesterol levels, but did not significantly impact low-density lipoproteins, triglycerides, or high-density lipoproteins. The researchers concluded that further large-scale studies with a rigorous selection of controls and dates are necessary to validate these findings. [Extracted from the article]
