Abstract

Researchers at Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University conducted a study on Psoriatic Arthritis (PSA) and developed a screening model called Psoriatic Arthritis Inflammation Index (PSAII) based on serologic data to improve efficiency in PSA screening. The study included 719 PSO and PSA patients from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and 135 patients from The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. The Logistic Regression model showed the best performance with an Area Under Curve (AUC) of 0.87 on the test set and 0.82 on the external validation set. The study concluded that while PSAII had a high false positive rate, it could be combined with other screening tools for better accuracy. [Extracted from the article]
