A study conducted at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, focused on screening nucleoprotein (NP)-like mimotopes of the influenza-A virus from an Fv-antibody library. These mimotopes were then used in a one-step immunoassay for detecting the influenza virus. The research demonstrated that the immunoassay was effective in diagnosing both influenza-A and influenza-B viruses, showing promise for medical diagnosis.
