Abstract

A recent study conducted at the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University in China aimed to develop a habitat imaging method for predicting early postoperative recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma. The study involved a retrospective analysis of 344 patients who underwent liver resection for HCC, utilizing radiomics feature extraction and machine learning classification models. The research concluded that habitat analysis of sequential CT images can delineate distinct subregions within a tumor, providing valuable insights for early prediction of postoperative HCC recurrence. For more information, readers can refer to the article "Prediction of early postoperative recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma by habitat analysis based on different sequence of contrast-enhanced CT" published in Frontiers in Oncology.
