Abstract

Researchers at Hue University in Vietnam recently reported new findings on small cell lung cancer (SCLC), a type of primary lung cancer that accounts for approximately 15% of cases and is closely linked to tobacco use. The study highlighted the high mortality rate of SCLC due to its rapid growth and early metastasis to sites such as the brain, bones, adrenal glands, liver, lymph nodes, and, rarely, the stomach. The research aims to raise awareness among clinicians about atypical symptoms of gastric metastasis from SCLC to improve patient prognosis. The study has been peer-reviewed and published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology. [Extracted from the article]
