Abstract

A study conducted at Shenzhen University focused on the antioxidant and antiosteoporotic activities of oyster peptides prepared through ultrasound-assisted enzymatic hydrolysis. The research found that this method significantly increased the peptide content and antioxidant properties of the oyster protein hydrolysate, leading to improved osteogenic cell proliferation and mineralization. Two novel peptides, DSQLAPFRF and HFNPRL, were identified as having potent antioxidant and antiosteoporotic effects. The study suggests that these peptides have potential for osteoporosis prevention.
