Abstract

Researchers from Changsha Medical University conducted a study on the impact of 2,5-hexanedione (2,5-HD) on rat ovarian granulosa cell apoptosis, focusing on the endoplasmic reticulum stress-dependent m-TOR signaling pathway. The study found that exposure to 2,5-HD led to decreased body weight, ovarian weight, and relative ovary weight, as well as increased apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells. The research concluded that chronic exposure to 2,5-HD induces apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells through the endoplasmic reticulum stress-dependent m-TOR signaling pathway.
