Abstract
- Researchers from Neapolis University Pafos in Cyprus conducted a study on internet and social media addictions among adults in Cyprus post-pandemic. The study found that while severe addiction was low, approximately one-third of participants showed mild to moderate levels of addiction. Younger adults, especially those aged 18-28, were more prone to problematic online behaviors, and addictions were associated with depression, anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem. The research emphasizes the need for interventions to promote healthy online behaviors, manage stress, and enhance self-esteem in the digital age. [Extracted from the article]
