Abstract
- Researchers from the Department of Biotechnology have developed a highly sensitive aptamer-based electrochemical biosensor for detecting prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in prostate cancer diagnosis. The biosensor utilizes a novel two-dimensional reduced graphene oxide/graphitic carbon nitride composite decorated with gold nanoparticles. The biosensor demonstrated high selectivity for PSA over potential interferents and achieved a rapid detection time of 30 minutes with a limit of detection of 0.44 fM. The research suggests that this biosensor has potential for clinical use in diagnosing prostate cancer. [Extracted from the article]
