Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Chengdu Sport University in China focused on the effects of different exercise modalities on fatigue and muscular fitness in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). The study included 84 papers involving 3,786 participants and found that mind-body exercise (MBE) was the most effective in reducing fatigue, while high-intensity interval training (HIIT) was the most effective in improving muscular fitness. The optimal exercise dosage for reducing fatigue and improving muscular fitness ranged between approximately 530 to 860 MET-minutes per week. [Extracted from the article]
