Abstract
- Researchers at Pontifical University Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, have conducted a study on the role of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and reticulated platelets (RPs) in multiple myeloma (MM). The study explores how MSCs and RPs contribute to the pathophysiology of MM, affecting cell survival, proliferation, drug resistance, angiogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis. The researchers suggest that evaluating MSCs and RPs in clinical practice could potentially improve outcomes for patients with MM. This study was published in Hematology Reports and is available for further reading. [Extracted from the article]
