Abstract

Researchers from the Orthopedic and Trauma Department have highlighted new advancements in arthroscopy, specifically focusing on double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament repair and augmentation with lateral extra-articular tenodesis. While ACL reconstruction is still favored due to a lower failure rate, there is growing interest in primary ACL repair to preserve native tissue and enhance function. The addition of extra-articular tenodesis has been shown to improve anterolateral stability and increase the success of the repair. This research was conducted by M.D. Duong Minh Hieu and colleagues at Tam Anh Hospital in Ha Noi, Vietnam, and published in Arthroscopy Techniques. [Extracted from the article]
