Abstract
- A recent study conducted by Southern Medical University focused on determining the optimal angles for independent femoral tunnel drillings in single-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) to prevent damage to anatomic structures. The research included 180 volunteers from different races and genders, with findings showing specific angle combinations that reduce the risk of injury to lateral femoral anatomic structures, posterior cortex, and medial femoral condyle. The study concluded that using certain drilling angles, such as 30°/45° and 45°/30°, is critical for optimizing femoral tunnel placement in ACLR procedures.
