Abstract

Researchers at Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University in Hangzhou, China, have developed an artificial intelligence model based on machine learning and radiomics to predict the pathologic type of ground glass nodules (GGN) in lung adenocarcinoma patients. The study collected data from 179 patients with postoperative pathologically confirmed lung adenocarcinoma and found that the AI model, particularly the Random Forest machine learning model, outperformed average physician diagnostic accuracy in identifying lung adenocarcinoma types. The research concluded that this model could be valuable for early and precise diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma, enhancing clinical decision-making in the field of oncology.
