A study from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Iran explored the potential of L-carnitine (LC) as a replacement for tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a) blockers. The research, which included a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials, found that oral LC supplementation did not significantly impact TNF-a levels, while parenteral LC did reduce TNF-a levels.
