Abstract

Researchers from Shandong University in Jinan, China, conducted a study on Fusobacterium nucleatum, a bacterium associated with dental plaques. They evaluated the effectiveness of bioactive compounds from Salvadora persica (chewing stick) against this bacterium using in-silico methods. The study found promising results, suggesting that these compounds could be used as an alternative therapy for managing Fusobacterium nucleatum-related oral diseases. Financial support for the research came from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. [Extracted from the article]
