Abstract

Researchers at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Iran have developed a new stimulus-responsive nanocarrier for targeted combination cancer therapy. The nanocarrier, based on host/guest interactions, combines chemo/gene/magnetic hyperthermia therapy to target multidrug-resistant cancer cells. The study successfully demonstrated the potential of this drug delivery system in treating drug-resistant cancer, showing promising results in suppressing the hTERT gene and enhancing the cytotoxic efficacy of chemotherapy. This research was supported by the Iran National Science Foundation and has been peer-reviewed for publication in the Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology. [Extracted from the article]
